This week I have become part of someone’s challenge as part of #CENZ15. Their task was to encourage a colleague/friend to begin blogging and help them to set up their own blog. Well, thanks to my colleague and friend, here I am writing something for my own blog. This one will actually be published as opposed to the secret one I’ve been writing for a couple of months (hence a couple of back dated blog posts). I have to say that this going public thing is quite daunting.
I’m not really sure where this journey will take me or anyone else for that matter, but I’m a huge believer in the experiential learning process and so it could mean that blogging is right up my alley. Having a place to reflect upon, celebrate and question my practices, beliefs, values and ideas will be hugely beneficial for not only myself but also my students and colleagues.
So, here we go! I’m about to throw caution to the wind and kick this thing off. It definitely won’t be a masterpiece but let’s see where it takes us because…
If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got
Well done on starting your blogging journey!
My piece of advice is to write/blog for yourself. Make it something that’s worthwhile for you.
Looking forward to reading more 🙂

Thanks. I found it really daunting and challenging to take that step and share but the feedback has been good so far.

Nice one. Good to see another practitioner getting involved! Hopefully you get something out of it. I’m sure that you’ll find blogging a great way to experiment and reflect on what has been working for you in your teaching. You never know; not only will it inspire you, but might help someone else out as well!

Welcome to the blog world! Like others have said, write about what you believe and want to. It’s your journey and a great place to reflect.
